We’re delighted to share that MobSTR and Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust have jointly won Cyber security solution of the year at the Health Tech Awards 2026.

Announced by HTN on 7 October 2026, the award recognises our work together to bring automation into mobile application security. It is a shared achievement, and we’re proud to celebrate it with the Trust’s team.

Making application review more practical

HTN’s announcement highlights how MobSTR helps the Trust assess mobile applications and browser extensions. Automated analysis brings together evidence about permissions, data handling, encryption, software dependencies and known vulnerabilities, with risk ratings to help reviewers prioritise their attention.

The announcement also describes a practical change: investigations that previously involved hours of manual work can be automated. That gives security specialists more room to examine the findings and decide what an application’s use should look like within their organisation.

Why this matters for healthcare

An application review is a series of decisions. Is the access an app requests proportionate to its purpose? Are its connections understood? Does a finding need investigation before the app is approved? Who will review it again when it changes?

These questions need evidence that teams can use and explain. Our focus at MobSTR is to make that evidence easier to find and bring it into a repeatable review process. A clear assessment helps people discuss the risk, record their reasoning and agree the next step.

It is also why we value working closely with customers. The everyday work of reviewing applications gives context to the technical findings: what people need to do, what information they handle, and what their organisation expects of the tools they use.

Recognition from the health tech community

The Health Tech Awards celebrate digital teams, programmes and suppliers working across health and care. HTN describes a judging community of more than 150 NHS leaders, bringing experience from a range of care settings.

Thank you to the HTN judging panel for this recognition. Above all, congratulations to our colleagues at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. We’re pleased to share this moment with you and look forward to continuing our work together.
