PRIVACY POLICY ANALYSIS · INSIDE MobSTR

A privacy policy is a claim.
Look for the evidence.

Understand what an app’s privacy policy says. Compare its claims with MobSTR’s technical evidence, prioritise the questions that matter, and see where further answers are needed.

FROM YOUR ESTATE TO THE INDIVIDUAL APP

See where your privacy
review should start.

InterroPol brings policy summaries, privacy red flags and technical evidence into your MobSTR workflow. Start with the estate overview to see what has been assessed and where your team should focus its review.

Focus the review

Search your apps and filter for contradictions, assessed apps or those still awaiting assessment.

Prioritise with context

Sort by risk, red flags or assessment date. Read each score alongside its findings and evidence coverage.

Open the evidence

Move from the estate view to a policy summary, individual claims and the reasoning behind each finding.

POLICY ANALYSIS

Understand the policy
in plain English.

Each assessed app opens with a summary of its privacy policy. Review what it says about data collection, use, sharing and international transfers without starting with the full policy text.

See the privacy score, claim outcomes and policy capture date together. Follow the links to the original policy or the app’s security report in MobSTR, and reassess the app when you need to refresh the review.

PRIVACY RED FLAGS

Find the clauses
that need a closer look.

Red flags highlight policy wording that deserves attention, with a severity level and the original clause. These can include broad sharing arrangements, unspecified international transfers or the use of third party AI services.

Give privacy, information governance and security teams a concrete starting point for supplier questions. Read each flag in the context of the policy, the app’s purpose and the information your organisation would put at risk.

CLAIM VALIDATION & EVIDENCE

Follow the claim.
Read the reasoning.

InterroPol separates a policy into individual claims and compares them with the technical evidence available from MobSTR. Each finding shows the claim, its category and an explanation of the result.

Expand the policy source to read the original wording alongside the evidence. Your team can see why a claim was supported, why a potential conflict was flagged or why further evidence is still needed.

Supported

The available technical evidence is consistent with the policy claim.

Contradicted

InterroPol identifies a potential conflict between the claim and the app evidence, with an explanation to investigate.

Not evidenced

The available evidence cannot establish whether the claim is supported or contradicted. It remains a question for further review.

Keep evidence coverage in view.

The assessment shows how many claims were checked and the level of evidence coverage. A claim marked “not evidenced” remains unresolved, even when the app has a high overall score.

Permissions and software components can identify reasons to investigate. Review the explanation and policy wording together before drawing a conclusion about how data is actually used.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY, IN THE SAME REVIEW

Privacy findings.
Inside the app report.

The privacy section of a MobSTR application report now includes an abbreviated InterroPol assessment. See the privacy score, a policy summary and key findings alongside the app’s technical analysis.
